The summer of love is over. The winner is Mommy and Daddy Dauben's pocketbook as Joey is back on the dime of the state and Presley is out doing God knows what in California. Joey devotes an entire chapter in his book to the love of his life, his fiancé and his soul mate Presley. Well she isn't quite on the same page as she explained on her facebook the other day. Presley says they have a complicated relationship but at the moment they are not together. I guess she plans to wait and see just how Joey's fortunes go in his legal battles. She certianly doesn't have the courage and fortitude to stick by her man's side in his moment of trails and tribulations.
Presley, much like Joey, is a lazy, irresponsible misfit. She wants to pretend she is an adult but she always skips out when the waiter brings the bill. She refuses to hold down a job or work to better herself, instead she wants to continue to chase unicorns and leprechauns around with her partner in crime Connie IBedwell. Unfortunately for Joey, much like his professional career, even his love life was make believe.
Waiting on Joey was hard on Presley. She is not amused with this post.

ReplyDeleteG/snap: The issue of possible connections between 09 & 11 is still nagging me, so I started reading the old posts. All of Joey's electronics were seized. I haven't found an indication that any were returned to him. He was charged with organized crime, 1 of 3 felonies. In one post, Joey is bragging about his defeat of the big bad nasty pigs and this comment was under the post:
Bob: Joey, you were guilty. You unlawfully received and published the picture. You lucked out of the charges because the case was mixed up with Meissner. Meissner’s charges had to go away because they were embarrassing to certain important people. Your charges had to go away to protect Meissner.
Remember the story of Barabbas. If I’d gotten away with three felonies I’d spend most of my time shuttin the hell up about it.

The DA was doing exactly what Gingersnapoftruth thought, covering his back side against later appeals based on Joey not being competent to stand trial. I expect that the examination will show that Joey, though sufferings from several delusions, is competent to stand trial and assist in his defense.

On eco2, Joey posted that his stuff was returned later in 09. What brought it up was that I think there may be some connection between what was found on his computers & phone then and the Navarro charges now. ReplyDeleteThe other thing about the 09 thing is it was all Combine. Hoskins got his buddy Robinson to sign off on the order but it was Hoskins that personally arrested and transported Meissner. I don't remember any other legitimate agency involved in it. It was a Barney Fife opperation and therefore the real officials didn't touch it. I guess we will see when the trial comes up, but I just dont see them using anything from that investigation. I don't remember Joey's stuff being siezed in the 09 opperation but it may have been for a short period of time. I think he still hasn't gotten his stuff back from the Ellis County raid in 2010.
ReplyDelete@nothingbettertodotoday, I'm sorry I misunderstood. I get confused trying to read all this stuff. Usually I follow y'all pretty well, but some of the comments seem disconnected to others. I am doubtful that the Navarro county investigation came as a result of the '09 seizure but it is possible some e-mails set off some alarms. I always figured the victim came forward as he became bothered more as he aged, and perhaps as he received therapy. But I don't really know anything about it.

@yappy, that is a great line. I often thought that any one of Joey's "newspapers", published on an irregular basis, had about the same number of readers as my "neighborhood newspaper" I published at the age of ten for my friends and neighbors. And we probably made about the same income from it. :)

ReplyDeleteBrandy, this is a random question. I have no real opinion on Joey's church, but I saw something a while back that said everybody at the ECO considered themselves Messianic. I just wondered if that is still the case. Is there still a Messianic church around there, or is that something that somebody just practices from home or Bible study through beliefs and practices?
ReplyDelete@ Curious: I just have a hard time believing Joey didn't know what Meissner was doing. In fact, I'm beginning to think Joey participated at some level. Either that, or Joey is much more stupid than we've ever given him credit for. I can't tell you why (because I don't know) but I've gone on a mission to reconcile the Joey/Meissner relationship.
ReplyDeleteJoey posted (or more correctly, had someone post) some of the e-mails to/from his church camp buddy right after his arrest on the Navarro charges. I don't remember the dates and I may be wrong, but I recall the e-mail exchange was before 2009. It seems possible that during the forensic investigation of '09, the camp buddy and indication that Joey was aware of Meissner's activity could have been discovered. But, the charges were dropped and the electronic equipment was returned to Joey. If there were any red flags or alarm bells found, the investigators couldn't act on the evidence because, apparenty, the seizure wasn't legal - game over.
I'm saying that just because we haven't seen any e-mails or text messages between Joey and Meissner that would indicate Joey was aware of what Meissner was doing, doesn't mean there aren't any messages and Joey didn't know. Once Joey gave Ellis County probable cause to seize the computers again, everything found was fair game. Maybe there was evidence that allowed the Rangers to move forward on the Navarro charges once Wilson got his hands on the computers.
More food for thought: Joey is vocal about how much he hates cops. What would have been the draw to Meissner in the first place? As Joey was so big on exposing corruption, why wasn't Meissner exposed? Even after the charges were dropped, seems like Joey would have taken credit for outing Meissner's and his demise. He took credit for getting rid of 3 other people from Combine, why not Meissner?
Joey also seemed convinced the government was out ot get him. I thought at first he was just paranoid because he certainly did seem important enough for a conspiracy between LE agencies. Now I think he had a reason to believe the cops were after him. How did Joey dig up those e-mails with the camp buddy while he was in jail? He had to have known about this well in advance to have his "defense" sitting around in a folder waiting for somebody to post. I think it may have been Brandy, but somebody said Joey had known about possible charges for a couple of years. When you start looking at the whole picture, Joey's paranoia and his knowing about the potential for the Navarro charges long before he was indicted - it just seems likey that some of this came out of the '09 events.
@ Gingersnap: Ellis County won't give Joey his stuff back because it's evidence they have and will use against him. If I'm not mistaken, the only way he'll get it back is if there is a not guilty verdict. It appears Combine was driving the bus for the '09 charges. But, I think the case was derailed by the Hoskins' factor and it got tangled up with the investigations of Meissner & Cortes for corruption.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure they'd ever have to give it back. Besides, Joey would probably have to properly request it. He rarely follows the appropriate procedures, so I doubt he would have done this, particularly if he wasn't represented by an attorney.

ReplyDeleteUhm because the creator is very irresponsible. He wants as many 'desperate' people to get on camera to tell their story without doing any background checks or requesting credible court documentation.
BTW Our Presley Dauben-Tuma lovin' child molester gal is working (non-paid) for Bill aka Lawless America. He claims to be a multi-millionaire but yet e-begs constantly for donations? Further background checks show his net worth to be under 200K.
Personally I think the guy has a big heart in the right place in some ways and in others, he's just touring the USA on OPM's. (other people's money). If he really wanted to make a difference and was actually wealthy as he claimed, he would staff a couple of researchers to dig up credible cases of court corruption. He's foolish to take everyone at their word because they can cry on cue.
Any production company willing to stick their neck out to air any of this will have a team of lawyers digging up the 'truth'. In this day and age, no network can risk such lawsuits because the creator was too lazy not to do his homework. Too bad, he has a great concept but very poorly implemented.

Maybe I stand corrected. Monkey see, monkey do? William Windsor of Lawless america seems to have raked in a bunch of money by owing websites and corporations online that fraudulently charged people additional fees for taking tours (ie: alcatraz, maid mist in Niagara Falls, etc). illegally. If a tour company charged $10 per person for tour, Mr Windsor's 'internet' companies would charge an additional fee of $10 making it appear the actual tour was $20 pp (for example). He has other scams going on. Companies have successfully sued him and he's cried 'foul' calling it all a corrupt court system. (I guess Joey may be believed by Bill after all) Many ripoff reports regarding him. One such company owned by him and his son:

I didn't know what to make of it; appears to be either an expansion of the original claim that porn was planted by hackers or it was the basis for Joey's defense. I don't recall reading any other complaints about it. Maybe that was Meissner's defense too, he was an ECO reader.

ReplyDeleteOk, so I've fully read up on Alcatraz Media. It appears they are pretty much a travel agent for tours and attractions on a trip. In my opinion they didn't properly handle the complaints on rip off reports and were rude to clients, didn't take any ownership of their own services, and tried to blame the complaints on a competitor. It does look like daddy Bill Windsor was litigious when it came to the Niagara Falls cruise line. I don't think it's proper to continue selling tickets for the cruise when the company providing the service doesn't want them sold. I think the lawsuits and push for competitive bidding was Bill settling a score. I understand they provide a service like a travel agent or ticketmaster, but I think the actual companies providing the attraction should have a say if they feel a vendor is hurting their reputation. I don't like the Dauben style reports about Bill Windsor and Alcatraz, but hey, that's what all the made for tv companies do, they saturate the internet with positive marketing that look like independent blogs and news outlets. While I don't agree that they don't let the customers know that they aren't providers of the end service (or that they are adding a considerable fee for their services), it's not exactly a scam. It's just not how I think business should be run. They do have an A rating with the BBB, and with the amount of tours they book, it seems there are relatively few complaints. From property records, the son owns a couple of properties in my county, one is just down the street from me. I think employees mishandled complaints originally, & daddy handled PR and litigation wrong, but they are probably an OK company despite their business model. Daddy probably believes that his litigation is warranted & it is his motivation for fighting the system now. & yeah, Daddy's movie isn't going to be seen by anybody because he's definitely not properly vetting the participants.

I still think Bill Windsor is kooky. Their business model was (and probably still is) a bit consumer unfriendly, but aside from selling tickets they were no long allowed to, it wasn't exactly criminal. There potentially a convenience provided (maybe not on this particular cruise since it was first come, first served) by being able to book & pay for attractions ahead of time

He got mad at me because the last time I spoke to him and he told me what he did on the boat, he didn't get the reaction he wanted I guess. Here is what I have to say to him. Joey, find someone else to victimize besides the victims. You are worse than the judges, cops, and politicians that you target in your campaigns.
