  3. I still just can't get over how dilapidated and blighted that Dauben shack really is. The City of Ovilla should have bulldozed that shanty years ago for safety concerns alone.

  4. Thank you Oreader, I opened it in HTML because the pdf was taking too long. That's some digs there David. I think your wheelie is worth more, but that's just my opinion.

Soo is Wilson going to open and close with this? BOOM DONE :P hehe

  5. Oh, I didn't even realize that was from the same location. It took me a long while to remember where I found it. LOL.

His apology sucks. He says he'll accept responsibility, but he also basically says, I'd do it all over again. I'm usually right. You can't hold a grudge because nobody is right all the time . . .

    Deputies could make jury run

Nearly half of those called fail to report

By Bob Belcher Corsicana Daily Sun

Corsicana — District Judge James Lagomarsino may order sheriff’s deputies to go pick up prospective jurors who did not answer a Tuesday summons for jury duty.

The judge had said after the last jury call, when only 65 out of 300 people summoned for jury duty showed up, he’d consider sending deputies out to pick up those who didn’t report.

About 60 to 70 of the letters sent to prospective jurors were returned as undeliverable, but that still left over half of those called not showing up.

On Tuesday, 106 people answered a summons for jury duty out of 400 summons that were sent out, Lagomarsino said. About 100 of the jury summons were returned this week, he said, still leaving almost 200 people unaccounted for.

Sheriff’s deputies were ready to start rounding up the “no-shows” but were not pressed into service — yet.

In a letter to Sheriff Les Cotten that was shared with the media Tuesday, Lagomarsino said he is considering further action.

“Out of an abundance of caution, I decided the prudent course of action to be not to send officer out (Tuesday) until the Court has a list of those summoned who can be presumed to have received their summons but did not appear,” Lagomarsino wrote.

“I will set a date and time to have your officers bring them to the Court for possible contempt proceedings,” he continued.

Cotten said he was supportive of Lagomarsino’s desire to have those called for jury duty report as they are required to, and would provide whatever assistance the court requested.
