This may not be politically correct, but why not just get down to it and pull your heads out of your collective asses? this is what has cause all this to continue to harm family's children etc.

Are you referring "parents" that went to PedoJo seeking vengeance without considering the future garbage they are/were creating for their children to sift thru? I haven't seen one legitimate advocate that came to Dauben or his ECO media empire...I mean wordpress pages. True advocates don't post children's photos or identities on their website. The only time I have seen a child's identity revealed is in the tragic cases when they are abducted or death. These "parents" get upset when something is written about them but think nothing of putting their children on websites or in videos with allegations against the other parent. There is a reason that courts withhold a child's identity but those"loving parent's" can't seem to grasp the concept. True advocates don't exploit. Has there been one true advocate that came to Dauben seeking his assistance or to assist him? The people that claimed to be advocates are nothing more than delusional psychotic freaks that were looking to use Dauben just like he was tring to use them.

Also, Joey said he got a settlement for "false arrest" in 2009, but I'm wondering if they just paid him off as a nuisance lawsuit. He was jumping over the moon about ten grand and I thought at that time that wasn't much to jump around about.
its possible but I cant think of any official off hand that was removed or had to leave as a direct result of something joey said about them. He tried to claim when people were fired or left that it was because of him, but I never saw an direct corolation.

I apologise for using a word that you have never heard outside outside of a court or receiving a citation (ticket) from an officer. You see, the word actually has the same basic meaning in.common usage also. The citation (ticket) CITES (gives specifics) of laws broken.
I was asking of anybody here could CITE (give evidence or examples) of things Joey did to help them. I said NOTHING regarding legal citations. Somebody could have said something as little as "Joey bought me lunch once when I was a little short on cash," or "Joey gave me a ride when my car was on the shop."
Again, please work on reading comprehension, and do not put words in my mouth.

What Gingersnap was not looking for was "Joey told my story that my ex is a bad person." Since we don't know if the person who asked Joey to share their story was telling the truth (some were not), Joey simply publishing words does not count as a good deed alone.

ReplyDeleteI am very close to 2 people employed by government agencies that were unfairly targeted and slandered by ECO. One article, written several years ago, was based on out right lies told to Joey by a disgruntled ex-government employee. The other article was written last year: Joey and one of his pals attempted to set this person up to be fired, then twisted the truth. Both subjects were aware of ECO articles, neither wasted their energy reading or responding to ECO. In both cases the people that know the subjects also know the truth and so do their employers. None of the information posted by Joey mattered to people that don't know the subjects. If the subjects of Joey's articles were to respond or tell their side of the stories, it would result in re-hashing and re-living all of the hurtful things that were said and done - I support their decisions to just let it go, both people I know still have their jobs. But, seems to me that people Joey wrote about that have been fired, had it coming and it was just a matter of time with or without Joey's involvement. Texas is a right to work state: Joey would be subject to work interference law suits if someone is or was fired based on Joey's lies or twisted truth.

ReplyDeleteIt seems you desperately want to "prove" they Joey was harmless and that the effect he had was neutral.
That seems to me like a position in and of itself.
I personally don't think that there have to be physical judgments or similar to prove that Joey hurt people on occasion. I think his reckless style damaged people. He was so motivated to expose salacious stories he didn't always do the necessary digging into the reliability of his source.
I am not saying that nothing he did was good. I would be there are good people who got their stories out. He more likely did something good working for a town hall type cause than the he said/she said stuff.
At the very least, Joey needs to grow up and realize that if you claim to be a journalist, you need to hold yourself to higher standards. Misreporting as news has consequences on people's lives, particularly in a small town. He should care about his own integrity. If he misreports or reports un proven facts like Amber Haggerman, he can damage lives or hurt criminal investigations. That girl's family doesn't need the pain of false hope. If Joey has too many of those incidents, he will become the boy who cried wolf. Then, his voice won't be.heard no master what he fights for.

ReplyDeleteWell for this particular post, I did a post to let his victims speak out and somene suggested that I let those that were helped by Joey voice their story so thats why I did this one. I do think anyone can come down any harder than I have in terms of what I think Joey has done in the slander department. He has hurt many innocent people over the years and that makes me angry and I want to do what I can to restore those peoples name at least in cyberspace. My other point is Joey is a child, he has always been one, he rufused to grow up. I dont say that to try and aquit him of his crimes, I'm simply saying we should view him that way because I think we make a mistake if we view him as an adult.

Now, I have taken issue with your attitude and associations, but I have accused you of nothing illegal. Although, I do question the legitimacy of the STOLEN and BUACA groups.
I'll comment here. Hairball, assuming you are the same paralegal I have had prior interaction with, you were on that show. Yeah, you don't claim ever having met Joey personally or having knowledge if his innocence.
ReplyDeleteHowever, you and John Anderson discuss all the theories as to why Joey may be the target of retaliation. That can easy be construed as support. You discuss that the indictment doesn't look legitimate and how AXJ may have been involved. I assure you the indictment is real. I am sure that if the Texas Rangers are involved, there are more than 4 year old claims by the child involved. They would not take on something they did not believe they had suitable evidence to show guilt. Texas Rangers don't take on many cases and rarely lose. I can't believe they would set themselves up for failure.
As far as the idea that AXJ was retaliating, that is nearly impossible given the timeline. There simply was not enough time between those articles and the arrest. This.arrest was the result of investigation and was reviewed by a Grand Jury. That didn't happen over a few days.
By even giving those conspiracies air time, it really does give the impression that you are in support of Joey...which by default, makes it seem you believe his innocence.
While he will always be innocent until proven guilty, the odds are stacked against him. Also, it is pretty evident that his brand of justice/news was reckless. He did hurt people. If he were to continue as he was, he would lose his voice all together because nobody would bother listening long to somebody with no integrity.
Posting photos of the children involved was just wrong. Unless the child is kidnapped or the child is actively in danger, their photos don't belong online. And joey didn't just post photos of endangered children either. Go dig if you don't believe me.
Now, my final argument against STOLEN. I am sorry, but the messenger matters as much as the individuals. If you are truly trying to get a child back, you would do better to find a more reputable group to align yourself with. They have a reputation for being thugs. Many have lost children due to their own actions, like drugs. While lots of people battle drugs and recover to be good parents, why do you want to align yourself with that. I personally would try and walk a very straight and narrow path and fill my "army" with people beyond reproach.
I heard Joey got Beer and wine in Palmer or so I hear people say he helped. And I know Joey claimed to break the story on the WPD tazing up on the crack head prisoner. Don't know what ever happened afterwards in the WPD case?

I did not say that Joey is innocent as I do not know, nor do I have any way of knowing. What I do believe in is innocence until proven guilty.
As I have said before, I cannot speak re Joey's past actions, nor can I speak to the involvement of the Texas Rangers. That would be more conjecture.
Perhaps you could elaborate regarding STOLEN's "thug" and "drug" reputation? Any information would be appreciated. May I ask why the interest in STOLEN or, for that matter, why the sudden interest in my welfare?
BTW, Curtis blogged similar questions/theories regarding the same AXJ post. Our position re Joey at that time was virtually identical.

ReplyDeleteNow, you are entitle to an opinion. Own it. Don't pretend you are neutral. And don't try to trick yourself that the radio show and free Joey page don't create an impression. Appearance matters. In this world you are judged by the actions you take and the people you associate with. You can qualify that conversation as a debate or weighing the possibilities, but the possibility that Joey did it was barely touched on.
As far as caring about your welfare, you aren't dumb. You can write and think coherently. You are better than the people you think help you. Don't let them drag you down.

Just don't give a judge any reason to doubt your logic or associations.they are human. They will take everything into account. You already know they may not make decisions based strictly on the law. Don't give them an excuse to not favor you.
As far as Curtis, he is a different story. He has not claimed to have no opinion or be neutral. He was associated with Joey. It is hard to believe somebody you liked could do something so vile. It is also hard to admit making a mistake in judgement. So, I give him a break. But again, he also readily admits his bias and he isn't in a custody battle. Also, I think his position on the retaliation by AXJ theory has mellowed.
@alitwist: You are absolutely right. I AM my best advocate - always have been, always will be. My "message" re Placer County remains undiluted.

ReplyDeleteYes. As regards the 2 slandered people I know, Joey's reports caused a normal reflex of concern, then anger, then amusement, then pity for Joey. Their jobs were not affected in any way and Joey lost a little more credibility with every related post. In one of these cases, there was a person that claimed Joey's involvement and slander helped resolve her issue. I'm sure that person really believes Joey's efforts were successful, but no. The situation evolved and resolved as it would have without Joey. in fact, resolution may have been delayed due to Joey's involvement because he muddied the waters with false information and conspiracy theories.
With respect to the people I know of that have lost their jobs shortly before or after an ECO post, their jobs were in jeopardy long before Joey got wind of it. And, I can't think of a single instance in which somebody lost their job for the reasons "exposed" by the ECO.

APPEARANCE IS EVERYTHING! ! You are not standing trial in front of a jury of your peers. There is no burden of proof that must be met beyond a reasonable doubt for you not to get what you want or deserve. You will probably meet with a single judge. If you think that judge can't use social media to determine who you are, you are kidding yourself.
Say the judge opens your facebook page and finds you like another page that is derogatory about another Placer County judge. What is she sees STOLEN or Connie Bedwell and does a quick google search. There are tons of negative opinions and statements out there. Why open yourself up to having to explain?
It doesn't make sense to me. Fight other people's fight once yours is over. Associate with whomever you want. Get tatted up, get a mohawk, do whatever, but right now, why open yourself to more questions and doubt?
What is more important to you, being everybody's advocate or your own daughters? Sometimes you just can't have both. If the house is burning down and you can save anthony's daughter, connie's, Joey, or your daughter, would you even think twice? I know you wouldn't.

Disclaimer: Every once in a while a cyber-bully arises like Joey Dauben and his thugs and then action must be taken. But like just about everything these days, there are people whining about cyber-bullying around every corner and blaming the cyber-bully for everything the way they used to blame the boogey-man.
Reality is laws and courts are being used as weapons against regular people. But it takes this sort of fighting between people to bring it to the courts in the first place. So everyone needs to just chill out, stick together and go after the real thugs - those with the power to do real harm by using the laws against us.

No, I don't need to show you proof. I have stated what matters and why. Yes the evidence is there, but I don't have then at my disposal tonight.I understand the attraction ofrenegade groups when the system fails, but there are better groups if your goal in association is to be a voice for those whom the system had failed.
