Interesting Joey Dauben Timeline, Makes you Wonder

After finally graduating high school, Joey got into journalism. He quickly gravitated towards his "calling" which was exposing government corruption and waste of taxpayer dollars. He begins to make a name for himself with that cause and worked his way up to editor of the Ellis County Press (he basically controled the front page of that paper).

Then, in 2007 we have the incident with the boy at the church camp in Navarro County. 2007 is also the same year when Joey starts to take on a new crusade, and that being his quest to expose child sex offenders and enablers. That would mean the DA and the Judges that are friends with them or give them light sentences. So from 2007-2012 Joey has devoted everything to his pursuit of this undercover sex ring that he knows is out there but just can't quite prove. This radical move gets him eventually fired from the ECP and almost all of his previous supporters start to fall off and back away yet he continues to press on with his crusade.

  3. Here is an interesting post from Joey in 2008:

    December 30, 2008

Rudy Kos | Gene Knize’s Best Friend?

Filed under: Uncategorized — geneknize @ 10:29 pm

Speaking of Child Rapist Rudy Kos…
How come – since Kos was head of St. John’s in Ennis – our prosecutors here in Ellis County didn’t prosecute? Could it be that our district judge, Gene Knize, is a member of that church, and perhaps as a favor of some sort, County Attorney Joe Grubbs would agree not to prosecute – after all, it’s only a matter of public record that Kos abused many victims sexually. Hmm. There’s a trend developing in this county when it comes to child rapists – well, except if you are a political opponent, and then you get taken care of.

In fact, a fieldtrip to the district clerk’s office will show just how bad it is for victims of these violent sexual crimes. Grubbs and his child rapist-loving assistant Patrick M. Wilson have signed off on at least 50 plea bargains that kept sex offenders on the streets – not off. Sure, they got their much-coveted “conviction” in the bag, but predators are running loose on the streets because prosecutors aren’t doing their jobs. They are a complete disgrace to this entire county as far as we’re concerned. Anyway…just some things to think about…

  4. Damn it. Now I'm left wondering what other jewels are in the archives:

"You claim I have "no understanding" of how the justice system works. You’re right. . . * . . . So you’re correct in that I don’t know how the courts and grand juries work." - Joey Dauben 9-11-08

*conveniently left out text. As a nod to Joey's integrity, I feel no need to quote him in entirety.

    ReplyDelete
  5. The above quote was part of Joey's response to a letter to the editor of the Ellis County Press. I like the letter, so I'll put it here too:

Your newspaper is the worst we’ve ever seen.
Your articles are negative, poorly written and usually about insignificant scandals that seem to be in your mind only.
We really don’t think Ferris, Palmer and Bardwell politics is very interesting and we’re actually relieved our sub scri ption has expired.
Needless to say, we won’t be renewing, and hope that you’ll also remove our names from your calling list that got us to subscribe to help children of our servicemen at your Camp Agape.
    Does it even exist?
We are conservatives, but we’re not idiots who see conspiracies in every public office, no matter how minor.
The last straw was the stupid article about the children who were being awarded to their father who was seeing underage girls.
The photo you printed was just plain disgusting.
Is the mother related to you or something?
You constantly demonstrate in your articles that you have no understanding of how courts, grand juries, etc. even work.
Goodbye to The Ellis County Press forever!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Wow, that is a spot on letter, could not have said it better myself. "We are conservatives, but we are not idiots". That sums up my feelings as well which is why I have always been a critic of Joey's. If I were anything but something would be wrong with me not just him.

Wow is right. Let us know if you come up with "The last straw" article, now I'm curious. Too bad this has been going on since '07 and attempts to stop him are just now becoming obvious.
    The tinypics are very scary.

A couple of things are striking about this letter. 1) Didn't Mr. Wilson need a victim/complainant actually in Ellis County before he could prosecute Kos? Seems to me the first victims that spoke up were from Irving.

    2) Joey counted plea bargains but what about trials & conviction ratios? I sat on a jury in a trial in which Wilson prosecuted a child molester in front of Knize. That guy (Harrell was the name for anybody that wants to check it out) received 2 life sentences for molesting and raping 1 little girl. After the verdict was rendered, Mr. Wilson presented evidence to ensure the maximum sentence was applied by the jury.

I'm thinking Karma missed by one county. It's too bad the little boy/camp thing wasn't in Ellis County - I'd sure like to know what Joey would say about Wilson after he was tried for those charges by the "child rapist-loving assistant".

  9. Personally, I'm fascinated by conspiracy theorists. While my own mind can get caught up in circles, I've never jumped to conspiracies. Logic prevails, and for the most part, the simple explanation is usually the correct one. I know the human brain looks for connections and patterns, but some people take the weakest possible connections and assign meaning (something happens on Joey's birthday, the kid and the truck have the same name, blah blah blah). I think in statistical terms. In statistics a 1-3% correlation is still considered potentially valid. Conspiracy theorists take things are are .00000000000000000000001% statistically related/possible and hang their had on them as Truth. It amazes me.

I can't imagine the deep dark world that is in their heads. It must be extremely scary to live as they do. If all of our politicians, law enforcement, and CEOs are members of supersecret brainwashing, chemtrail dispersing, child molesting cults, how does the little guy even have a chance?

After the Aurora shooting, I ran across some Columbine conspiracy theories. I've actually known people who were students there at the time, so it's even weirder to see those particular views on what was a pretty clear cut chain of events. In reading about the claims, I ran across these quotes:

"Conspiracy theories are for weak-minded people who will believe anything any crackpot tells them. They’re for people who simply can’t grasp the concept that sometimes horrible things happen for stupid reasons. They’re for people whose lives are so devoid of meaning that they have to fill the void with modern-day bogeymen."

"Anyway it's people who believe in conspiracy theories that are what's wrong with our society. They disregard common sense in favor of fantastical tales of secret organizations and hidden agendas that are logistically impossible. In my estimation conspiracy theorists are people who use these tales as excuses as to why they can't succeed in their own lives. "

Joey clearly wasn't successful in going the traditional route to become a journalist, and that is probably where is hatred of "the system" began. He decided that standard practice had to be wrong and corrupt. Every where he looks, he seeks to add "evidence" to his suspicions while ignoring the preponderance of evidence to the contrary. The same goes for most of the people that were/are his main supporters. Rather than take the time and effort to become successful, they attack. While others are getting education or spending time working up the ranks in their profession, these conspiracy theorists fall further and further behind their peers. They go into a downward spiral (of mediocrity and failure which they claim zero responsibility) while the peers who put in real effort climb the ladder to success.

  10. I looked for the "last straw" article, but the search feature on the site isn't very helpful. I waded through pages upon pages of a basic "Dauben" search, but didn't see a headline that seemed to match.

Also, he wrote something around about political correctness on college campuses that apparently got a bunch of lawsuit threats due to quotes he got from some web forum. He refers to the article here, http://www.elliscountypress.com/news/7257-reporter-threatened-after-%E2%80%98politically-incorrect%E2%80%99-story.html , but again, I can't find the original.

  13. @nothingbettertodotoday, Thanks! It doesn't seem to be in the Ellis County Press' archives anymore. I was thinking there would be a quote from James F who he quoted in the second article, but I guess Joey was just being an ass and including him in the second article because of that comment.

I guess this is the "last straw" article. There are no photos, which I actually appreciate. However, even the writing is mild compared to what Joey has become http://www.elliscountypress.com/news/8075-custody-awarded-to-dad-who-used-meth-slept-with-underage-girls.html . I guess we are all desensitized by his current writing style. The article seems much more professional and maturely written by comparison.

While helping OReader out, I came across old posts about Robert Trevino, who is in prison for something sexual with a minor. And, guess who put Mr. Trevino in prison?? It was none other than Judge Knize and DA Joe Grubbs (this appears to be before Wilson's time). In the posts I saw, Joey blasted them - he says Knize & Grubbs got it wrong. OMG! They just can't win with him!

The photos are too disgusting for the front page of a respectable newspaper, whether the girl is 15 or not. Re: the mother, so it appears, had 3 children with 2 or 3 different sperm donors, got high & got drunk with Joey (which Joey denied, of course). And, the argument is what? She should have custody?

    Did you notice this comment?:

    To Joey Dauben,

Another CPS cover up, this time in the case with the three little girls and their mother in June 2008. When you are the same A.C.A., Sara Spector, for this case, which just a few Friday before the jury selection started on June 3, 2008. There was a 911-call placed from your resident because you attempted Suicide. The District Attorney Office may cover up this fact and had it suppressed at trial, but the 911-calls are recorded and these are not covered up or erased. Your main issue with the mother of these three little girls was her mental state. What about your own mental state? During the jury selection there could be no mention of mental health issue. This attempted Suicide was this your “Cry for Help”?

You see, Gingersnap is actually third in line for a certain throne. Everything he does is calculated. Last week, he was all about exposing his (illuminati) lineage. The Great One spoken to let you know that the Hammer of Wrath Hath Cometh Down(eth). If you are one of the chosen few, you will be allowed to speak. If not, you will end up with the mark of Harold Potter. Heed ye my words.

  34. Exactly, A wife beater AND a supporter of an accused child rapist. Bet he is with nambla. He probably has the body parts of women and their children in his freezer in his old barn on the back 40... But he probably can't afford a full 40...probably just 2.

    ReplyDelete
  35. So Gingersnap is a whiny little girl, but the pronoun used is he? Wow, that's gotta hit below the belt. Just not sure how much it hurts because it's unclear what's down there...

Just a warning to all little girls, there is a creepy old dude on the loose. Don't get in his car, even if he says he has candy or a cute puppy to pet.

    ReplyDelete
  36. and, if you start talking to him he is going to want to beat you, but since he is a "gentlemen" he will refrain from it, at least for a little while.

    ReplyDelete
  37. oh no and and and (sniff sniff) he's going to comment about the commenters on Gingers blog. Whatever will we do now? I'm sure Ginger is completely devastated by this news. lmao

Dude if you actually beat your wife and kids, that's just all kinds of wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Only the most civilized, well mannered, and sensitive man refrains from beating his wife. Truly commendable.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well you see Yappy, he wants to beat them but he holds back because he is a gentlemen. He is a wonderfull role model for all husbands and fathers across this great land.

    ReplyDelete
  40. @yappy, he's going to comment about the commenters who comment on Ginger's blog where he/she comments about Joey??? Oh no!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well then, that makes all the difference Ginger. A wanna-be wife beater gentleman, his mama should be so proud.

Why is there no high-class upstanding normal educated professional supporting Joey? He spent what? 10 years in his 'thriving mass money making journalism career' that Cherie whines the gov't seized and took away Joey's ability to earn money ($12/month profit I assume)... song n dance... and there's only odd balls and back-wood rednecks that are on Joey's side. If I didn't read it and see it all go down, I wouldn't believe 1 word.

Now that I've read the new blog without trying to drive at the same time, I am roflmao. New Dude has a bone to pick with Gingersnap because Gingersnap is obsessed with "some guy named Joey Dauben". Way too funny - he's going to make fun of Gingersnap making fun of Joey, who he appears not to know about and then he's going to comment on Gingersnap's "commentors".

OK, lets cover this again - who's obsessed? And, Dude (since we don't know what to call you yet): Gingersnap is either a girl or a boy. Pick one. You can't call Gingersnap a whiny little girl, then say Gingersnap has a hard on.

Also, in case you missed the messages in the posts by Gingersnap and my fellow 'commentors': if you have thought about slapping your wife, you are certainly NOT a gentleman.

    ReplyDelete
  44. All the "high class" people are members of secret societies. The only way to achieve social status is through money. You can't make money without secret connections. You only go to college to get initiated into a secret society (and be brain washed with "science"). Duh.

  46. I guess now that we've all giggled at the (intentional) irony of the other site. It should probably be said that I don't believe for a second that this is just some random dude with a nagging ex-wife that he wanted to beat who has no clue or care who Joey Dauben is. (How's that for a run-on?)

It's a dumbass fictional character. But, I'm sure we are all supposed to be afraid anyway.
