The irony of all of this is just to much to even write. Yes I know this proves the powers that be are out to get Joey and this is all part of their plan. But as first reported on here by Brannon and now confirmed on Joey's facebook page, Joey is going to have a bond revocation hearing Sept. 18th based on articles he has written and possibly put online. There are a lot of places I think Joey may have violated his bond restrictions, but I'm not exactly sure what they are trying to tag him on in this hearing. Maybe Brannon can email me the order. Anyway, my guess is that its going to be related to this story that was posted on his buddy's site http://www.reddirtreport.com/Story.aspx/23022
Whatever the case, it looks like Joey Dauben's freedom is going to hang in the balance of a judge named Bob Carroll. Now this is where I'm going to go to the pantry and put in a bag of popcorn because this is drama I cant find on TV. Joey was a strong supporter of Bob's up until he teamed up with a con-artist named John Margetis. Margetis was on a rage vendetta against Carroll, along with every other judge he had to come before. But Joey decided to get caught up with this since it fitted his "everyone is corrupt" mantra. So Joey was out there in front of the Walmart in Waxahachie or the courthouse holding up signs next to Margetis which called Bob horrible names. Joey gave John endless hours on his radio show to rant and rave against Bob. Now Joey's freedom hangs in the balance of a decision Bob gets to make.
Now the other question is what is Wilson's plan here with the psychological evaluation? Joey is not going to pass the test, but is that what they really want? To get him committed instead of jailed?
Bobby needs to recuse himself from the case and patsy needs to consult an attorney because he is playing right into Joey boys hand lol. Although it has been indicated that your blog is part of wee willys info on the revocation. From what I heard around the outhouse I mean courthouse
ReplyDeletewell. here is how it goes in real world. They do a pysch eval . If they find he is not competent, they send him to a state mental hospital until such time that he is declared to be competent to stand trial.... Joey goes to the funny farm, gets therapy (not the kind he seems to give teen boys who are at a vulnerable state and point in their lives), then comes back to face the wrath of justice in 2 counties.... Either way Texas wins and Joey goes to prison in the end.
ReplyDeletebe specific, what exactly did they say in reference to my blog?
ReplyDeleteLets just say passing tests is not a strong suit of Joey's, thats why he was 20 when he finally got out of HS and he still hasn't even gotten an associates degree after like 6 years of college. Anyone got any good info for our boy to use to cram for this exam?
ReplyDeleteYes, I do Ginger.
ReplyDeletePray for lightning.
I see him being found competent. Patrick Wilson is just covering his bases to avoid a reversal or mistrial! Maybe his uncle Mike will come visit him soon when he is behind bars.
ReplyDeleteHere Patrick, maybe this will help you.
ReplyDeleteGod is going to strike me down for this, I just know it.
http://oi45.tinypic.com/2gy6lqu.jpg
What strikes me the most?
1) Joey is the first on his dad's side to graduate (high school). Most people would be proud of Yale or Harvard, but lets give the Dauben's credit for this. I'm sure that's a great mantra David sang to his son, the beloved Joey.
2) Joey wanted to obtain a journalism degree (in sports he hoped). I assume that's code for some sex ring?
3) the G in Joey G Dauben does not (despite what joey says AGAIN) stand for God.
Joey isn't a journalist either.
Avoiding a mistrial is exactly how I read this development. Since Joey's rantings are enough to convince many people that he is crazy as a loon, the D.A. is simply trying to make sure he doesn't meet the legal definition of insanity which is a far cry from what normal people consider insane.
ReplyDeleteYeah this is probably correct. Normally I would say that this is a requirement of the defense but as I remember reading Joey is defending himself in the Ellis County case while using a public defender in the Navarro one. I guess thats why we have already seen Joey's defense on this "Patrick Wilson is Satan and this is a matter that should be in civil court (where I have 100s of thousands of dollars already against me in past judgements)".
ReplyDeleteYou know whats so funny about that is that Daddy Dauben had to answer those questions way back when Joey was in HS. Now, all those questions still continue along with many more.
ReplyDeleteOn top of that, I need someone who is fluid in redneck to translate that for me. Is daddy saying all of those are misconceptions such as Joey going on and hopfully pursuing a masters in journalism? Did he forget the title of his entry about half way down and then just start telling the truth?
I didn't realize Joey is representing himself for the Ellis Cty charges, Mr. Wilson's evaluation request makes more sense to me now. I figured it was to help avoid reversal on appeal if there is a guilty verdict.
ReplyDeleteRealizing that the legal definition is tough to meet/prove, from a layman's point of view, crazy is crazy. How is the woman that cut off her baby's arms more crazy than Joey? The woman "heard" God and hurt one innocent person, then quit. Joey "heard" God, has hurt thousands of innocent people and continues to do so. Not to mention you'd have to be insane to think someone with a high school education can out-wit a DA in court. Or, anywhere else for that matter.
As regards BA's reference to this blog: I'd bet my next paycheck this is not the only blog or site the DA, et al, monitors. Contrary to Joey's way of thinking, Mr. Wilson is smart enough to bust him for violating bail restrictions without this blog. We may have made it easier for Wilson in some respect, but Joey's use and knowledge of on-line postings has been transparent in several other places.
I can't remember if I read that in a David Webb article or one of Joey's manifesto's but I'm sure I read somewhere that he is representing himself in the Ellis County case. Which would make sense because no attorney would let him make a personal war agaisnt the DA as his defense. Joey also checked that he is an invalid and can't afford counsel. So yeah this is probably just Patrick covering his bases. And yes the standard for mentally compentant to stand trial and Joey having some kind of psychologial issues are two different things.
ReplyDeleteNow that you say that, I remember David Webb saying he represented himself - was it when the ECO was seized? I also remember thinking at the time, maybe he just hadn't found an attorney yet and surely he's not crazy enough to take on Mr. Wilson all by himself.
ReplyDeleteCrazy is as crazy does..........
The psych eval is probably really good, forward thinking on Mr. Wilson's part. Can you imagine how some of what Joey says in the light of day, in a sophisticated setting will impact a jury of intelligent people?
Don't you mean transient rather than an invalid? Ha, ha.
ReplyDeleteI think Joey is probably violating the terms of his bond. If not, I'd bet he is walking a thin line and violating the spirit of it. He may not be accessing the internet, but he is obviously not just using the library. He probably has somebody else typing in his searches.
Can't they just Stitch his mouth closed and put those lamp shades on his hands like they do for dogs so they won't lick their wounds? I mean, they should try these more moderate measures first imo.
ReplyDeleteThis caused me to laugh out loud when I read the latest Palmer Post edition. There's no by line, but I guess Joey is crazy enough to think he's fooling all of us, not just Mr. Wilson.
ReplyDeletePage 5, first he says: "Curtis Butler, another former editor, blatantly lied about Dauben breaking bond conditions to see his niece and nephews. He made the allegations recently on a blog run by longtime Dauben critic Karl Justin Thompson, whose screen name is "Gingersnap".
I thought: now, how would he know that if he isn't reading the internet. But, he made another statement and it's like he all of a sudden remembered he better explain how he knows this stuff.
He said: "Kleinsorge recently took to the blogosphere to attack Owen, according to sources;"
That's why I said "Joey continues to taunt and flaunt his bail restrictions" in my first post on the 3rd edtion. Yeah its just like you said, he gets into his rants and then has to catch himself and say "according to sources" (which means websites online I looked at).
ReplyDeleteGinger, he has an attorney for this, Your thinking of The ECO being taken away, he represented him self on that part
ReplyDeleteyeah thats right. But isn't the ECO being taken away due to this case (the Ellis county charges) and therefore part of it? I guess it branched out into a seperate case all its own.
ReplyDeletehere is the article on, The ECO from David Webb, but ya, The ECO does correspond but is I guess it's own deal
ReplyDeletehttp://www.cedarcreeklake.com/lake-life--Ellis-County-Observer-publisher-fights-forfeiture-of-domain-name-vows-to-continue-muckraking-one-day/187
How is it a misconception that he was the first Middle School student to obtain his drivers license. 16 in 8th grade
ReplyDelete#9 isn't a "misconception"...more of a prediction of things to come concerning those future "special occasions".
Here's the article that says he represented himself:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.cedarcreeklake.com/lake-life--Ellis-County-judge-orders-forfeiture-of-ECO-blog/191
ya, that was for the Domain name issue and The ECO website
ReplyDeleteYou know what's also funny about this? Joey wasn't the first family member on his dad's side to graduate high school. It was a tie for first: Joey and Kim were seniors and graduated together.
ReplyDeleteLOL: future "special occasions".
Isnt it funny how Daddy Duaben sounds just like Mommy Dauben was on here? "Ok, there are lots of things being said out there and I'm here to set the record straight". They then go on to creating new questions without really answering any previous ones.
ReplyDeletenothingbetter,
ReplyDeleteYou know that J comes before K so, if they graduated in alphabetical order, Joey would graduate first. :)
@ Curious: Thank you very much for catching my error. That did occur to me shortly after I posted.
ReplyDeleteMISD Class of 2001 was a small, 260 something as I recall. So, Joey had, what - at least a 5 minute lead on his sister? Oh well, first is first...........
Holy crap! I still didn't get it right. I was thinking how many names were there between Jo and Ki. Wasn't thinking about last name. So, Joey had at least 30 seconds lead on his sister?
ReplyDeleteIt goes a little something like this, let me show where its at. Do you jd understand you are in a courtroom in ELlis county to determine your mental capacity?
ReplyDeleteYes...and blah blah
(bang bang of gavel)
DO you jd hear voices audible or in your head?
Yes..blah blah
(bang bang of gavel)
Do the voices direct you to complete certain tasks?
Yes blah blah blah blah (insert more crazy here) blah blah (:e is now allowed to speak because he just sounds crazier and crazier (oh and boom boom snake and morph suit videos were presented for the heck of it.
It's not official until they get to turn the tassel. So, I dispute that he was first. Only photo/video evidence can show definitively.
ReplyDelete@ OReader - Good point. You could be right, Joey's sisters seem to be quicker than he is in all respects.
ReplyDeleteI was there. Too bad I didn't realize how important this issue would become, I certainly would have paid more attention to which one turned the tassel first.
I think we are overlooking a more interesting part of this, and that being that Daddy Dauben had to point out that the G in Joey G. Dauben doesnt stand for God. This was back in his early twenties, look at him now.
ReplyDeleteLet's clear some things up Joey has an attorney in the Ellis county and Navarro county criminal cases. Joey represented himself in the ECO. Civil case. As for the insanity issue Wilson's requesting it is not real smart. The crime he is charged with requires proof of an intention to harm by Joey. If there is any issue about his bizarre thought process it undermines the issue of intention. Don't over estimate P Wilson's intelligence. He is regarded as one of the worst DAs in the metroplex. This is a major misstep by Ellis county
ReplyDeletemaybe he just wants to get Joey committed, and let Navarro convict him.
ReplyDelete@ BA: Thank you for clearing up the attorney issue. I'm not so sure that I am over estimating Mr. Wilson's intelligence as much as you are over estimating Joey's intelligence in comparison to Mr. Wilson. One of Joey's problems is that he thinks he's smarter than everybody else. Exactly who regards Mr. Wilson "as one of the worst DAs", Joey?
